Pradhan Mantri Ujjwal Yojana

 Pradhan Mantri Ujjwal Yojana is a scheme launched by the Central Government on 1st May 2016 with an aim to bring happiness on the faces of women from poor families of India. Under this scheme poor women will get free LPG gas connections.


With this scheme launched by the central government, poor women will soon get freedom from mud stoves. The main objective of this scheme is to promote the use of LPG in place of fossil fuel used for cooking in rural areas. One of the main objectives of the scheme is to promote women empowerment and also protect their health.


The Cabinet has approved a Rs 8,000-crore scheme to provide free cooking gas (LPG) connections to women members of poor households. According to government figures, so far 95,657,999 connections have been issued under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Apart from this, 15,786,876 connections have been issued under Ujjwala 2.0.

With the introduction of this scheme, there will be a reduction in death due to the effect of smoke on food.

This scheme will reduce the health problems of small children.

With the introduction of Prime Minister Ujjwal Yojana, the health of women will improve with the use of pure water.

With this government scheme, there will be less pollution in the environment using impure fossil fuels.

With the introduction of this scheme, deforestation will be reduced.

Women will not have to face health related problems.
